Blackpool Council has completed it's flagship road maintenance scheme (Project 30) which invested £30 million in upgrading in the roads throughout town thereby removing the backlog.
Blackpool Council is now reaping the success of this project as tripping claims have been drastically reduced and the savings are being reinvested into local road network. This funding is targetted towards the AMBER areas of the network and thus following the best practice of the HMEP Pothole report
